NYC Fashion Week Day 2 did not disappoint in the glamour quotient. Here are some pretty amazing pieces by Venexiana. Not the kind of stuff you’re gonna be seeing at your local prom. They sparkle, they float, they bring you back to a world where pretty people don’t ever sweat or use the bathroom cause they were that cool. Like Audrey Hepburn circa Roman Holiday. We love it.
Twas the First Day of Fashion Week
New York is currently all aflutter with the sounds of tiny little model's feet prancing and indulging in the three C's: couture,
champagne and cigarettes. It sounds amazing doesn't it? Well, it is amazing. So, since we live in the real world and can't be a part of this fashion utopia, I'm going to try to bring fashion week to you with a couple of amazing dresses by BCBG Max Azria from the first day of NYC Fashion Week. This collection has to be amazing because it's from the same man who brought you the feared bandage dresses! (Herve Leger designer). And any man that can make me look better than Halle Berry when in a bandage dress needs some praise. There's lots of color, a whole lot of chiffon and a tinge of edginess. We love it. Therefore, I am going to salute BCBG and Fashion Week by not eating, looking dead, drinking champagne, smoking cigarettes and indulging in all things couture. Fashion is so fun!!
Oxfords: Not Just For Harvard Boys Anymore
Oxfords are making a fierce come-back. And by comeback I mean from like, the 1920's when women thought it was revolutionary to wear pants. Now, Harvard boys no longer have the monopoly to wear oxfords with their argyle socks and navy blazers. Girls can wear oxfords with argyle socks and navy blazers too! Of course, ironically, girls look way better in oxfords than boys, who basically look like pretentious assholes when they wear oxfords casually. It's hard to believe that men's shoes can be cute. So gaze on Olivia Palermo's ensemble. Despite being completely talentless and evil, her silver oxfords are adorable. Of course, I don't know of any other outfit where oxfords would be cute, so just stick to this outfit--and only this outfit.
Be Sienna Miller For Cheap!
The pink BCBG dress is so adorable and is surprisingly also affordable. It's only $238.00 and is very reminiscent of Sienna Miller's white Marchesa except way not as pretty. Look, I'm not even going to pretend like these dresses are comparable other than the fact that they both have giant flowers on them. We all know that when we put the cheap comparable on our bodies, no matter how close it came to the real thing never looks anything like the awesome expensive version. And sometimes even gives you a rash and blisters. But, then again, we're not Sienna Miller and the BCBG dress is not Marchesa. You won't look like a white satin fairy princess in the BCBG, but you also didn't spend $5,000.00. So, you get what you pay for, and in this case, it's a cheap Sienna Miller.
