Oxfords: Not Just For Harvard Boys Anymore

2009-09-09 oxfords32009-09-09 oliviaPOxfords are making a fierce come-back. And by comeback I mean from like, the 1920's when women thought it was revolutionary to wear pants.  Now, Harvard boys no longer have the monopoly to wear oxfords with their argyle socks and navy blazers. Girls can wear oxfords with argyle socks and navy blazers too! Of course, ironically, girls look way better in oxfords than boys, who basically look like pretentious assholes when they wear oxfords casually. It's hard to believe that men's shoes can be cute.  So gaze on Olivia Palermo's ensemble.  Despite being completely talentless and evil, her silver oxfords are adorable.  Of course, I don't know of any other outfit where oxfords would be cute, so just stick to this outfit--and only this outfit.

Be Sienna Miller For Cheap!

2009-09-04 BCBGsienna_miller The pink BCBG dress is so adorable and is surprisingly also affordable.  It's only $238.00 and is very reminiscent of Sienna Miller's white Marchesa except way not as pretty.  Look, I'm not even going to pretend like these dresses are comparable other than the fact that they both have giant flowers on them. We all know that when we put the cheap comparable on our bodies, no matter how close it came to the real thing never looks anything like the awesome expensive version.  And sometimes even gives you a rash and blisters.  But, then again, we're not Sienna Miller and the BCBG dress is not Marchesa.  You won't look like a white satin fairy princess in the BCBG, but you also didn't spend $5,000.00.  So, you get what you pay for, and in this case, it's a cheap Sienna Miller.

Tiffany's Buy of the Week!

Tiffany's Gold NotesI don't even know why I need to say anything awesome to convince someone to get this.  Just look at it!  It's Tiffany's, it's gold, it has your initial on it.  It's sure to make you look cool and classy without looking like you tried to be cool and classy.  Plus it's new at Tiffany's, so you better enjoy it before Target gets the recipe and starts mass producing them.  We loves it.

Rompers: Cute or Just Inconvenient?

2009-09-01 Romper2009-09-01 Romper2I will be the first to admit that I totally don't get rompers and I KNOW I'm not the only one.  First of all, I'm not sure if they're even cute.  I mean it's two separate pieces sewn together. Why? Laziness?  Cause we can eliminate one step when dressing? I don't know. However, if we suspend our disbelief and accept that rompers are cute and you decide to wear one, then how the heck do you use the bathroom?  It's sewn together! Does this mean that you have to take the whole thing off and go naked when you pee? Or do you just not pee? And if the rule for rompers is that you don't pee, then how long can you wear one for and not need to pee?  I need to know from someone that has worn a romper to tell me what the socially acceptable thing is to do while in a romper; because I just do not feel comfortable getting naked in a public bathroom--I just do not! Until then, I'm going to wear what I like to call shirts and shorts.  They're just like rompers, except they're not sewn together!
