Everyone who lives in San Francisco knows that autumn in San Francisco feels pretty much the same as any other time of year in San Francisco: cold.  Except in September when we get a glorious 30 day Indian Summer, every other time of year it's pretty much sweater weather.  Sometimes you will be fooled and think that you don't need a sweater because it looks sunny outside, and then you don't bring one, and then 6:00 pm rolls around and the sun dips down and you're stuck thinking to yourself "oops I did it again" and walking down the street crouched over in absolute frozen pain while everyone you're with magically whipped out a sweater without you knowing it!  We've all been there.  It's the beauty of this city and it breaks your heart every time.

The weather definitely wears you down sometimes you and you just want to go out in your SF "warm uniform" of Uggs and your Northface jacket.  So, the key is to stock up on A LOT of coats.  Comfy coats, casual coats, big coats, fashionable coats, novelty coats...all coats are welcome.  And remember to go against your better judgment and never leave home without one.

Yes, I even wore my coat as a cape like an asshole.
