Sports Luxe (?)

Pajama pants, jogging pants, sneakers, lingerie--I love how all of these new fashion trends are inching towards being lazy. Even fashion is getting lazy and wants to take a nap. Except when fashion wants to be lazy it calls itself "sports luxe" or "sports chic" or what me and the rest of the world calls "being casual." My husband has some other choice words to describe me when I'm in these clothes drooling on the couch mid-nap. Apparently though, if you put the words "luxe" or "chic" after describing something that is not luxe or chic, then it magically becomes so. To be safe, for this outfit, I also added the Chanel bag to my ensemble for the "luxe" part. I DO NOT want someone mistakenly thinking that I am wearing casual clothes just because I'm wearing casual clothes.

There's something about leather that makes it totally...badass. And there's something about pairing leather with lingerie that makes it so perfect. Like when the hot bad guy goes out with the nice sweet good girl and then they break out into a raunchy song and dance like in the movie Hairspray. Sweet sweet love. Plus, this is pretty obviously perfect date-wear. It transitions seamlessly from day to night. And by night, I mean ""night three" after you've already worn normal clothes out that don't say the word "boudoir" on the label. You're no hoochie...until it's appropriate.

I've had this sparkle tank for a while now and I've always been a little hesitant to wear it mainly because it so unfortunately matches my exact skin tone. When I tried it on in the store, I thought it would be really cute underneath a blazer or jacket because there were those pretty little sparkles. But then I wore it with a blazer and it looked like I was going bare-chested underneath a blazer. Fabulous Carrie Bradshaw in her naked dress, I was not! So, I figured the best way to wear a naked shirt is to go all out and pair it with nothing and just look naked. And boy was I right. It feels pretty weird at first, I started to feel like that Twilight vampire that started to glow in the sunlight and then Kristin Stewart says with no astonishment at all that he glowed "like diamonds." I didn't exactly feel "like diamonds" but when my intital feeling "like a hoochie" wore off, I actually thought looking naked was very slimming.
